Stanley and Wanda Talley have enriched the lives of people since the day of their marriage on June 4, 1977. They returned from their honeymoon and were immediately involved in the work of the ministry. Stanley is an ordained minister and has served in the capacity of pastor and pastoral assistant. He is also a writer for many religious publications and periodicals.
Stanley holds a license with the State of Louisiana as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). He received his bachelor degree (BA) from Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana. He received his masters degree (MSW) from Southern Univeristy at New Orleans, Louisiana. He also received a Christian Counseling degree from the Evangelical Theological Seminary in Dixon, Missouri.
His secular experiences have provided opportunities to work with the LSU Health Sciences Center. While employed there he was certified as an Advanced Bereavement Facilitator and get additional course work in Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Other areas of ministerial and professional experiences include, prisions, schools, mental health clinics, psychiatric hospitals, juvenile programs, programs for the mentally handicapped, anger management programs with court systems and district attorney.
Stanley has also been in the role of field instructor for Southeastern Louisiana University, University of Southern Mississippi, and Southern Univeristy at New Orleans.
Wanda is an author and writer. She has written and published, "It's A Woman Thang!" She has been a speaker for women conferences and family life meetings throughout the United States. Her use of humor has ministered and blessed women, men, and children. She has a unique approach to children's ministry through her own created character, "Sister Princess."
Together the Talley's have three children and two grandchildren. They are certified and licensed foster parents for the Department of Social Services in the State of Louisiana. Their home has hosted and served over 65 children who were abused, nelgected, and exploited. This ministry has afforded them a unique perspective on parenting.
Stanley and Wanda are available for family life meetings, marriage retreats, parenting seminars, consultation, and family counseling.
